چکیده
Mitch Glickstein is Emeritus Professor of Neuroscience at University College London. After completing a PhD degree in Psychology at the University of Chicago, he spent two years as a post-doc with Roger Sperry at Cal Tech, and one year at Stanford with Karl Pribram. After several academic positions, first at the University of Washington, Seattle, and then at Brown University, he moved to an MRC unit at University College London, where he was later appointed Professor of Neuroscience in the Anatomy department. He maintains a modest lab and has a continued interest in the history of Neuroscience and in the role of the cerebellum in visually guided movement.

متن کاملCerebellar agenesis revisited.
New clinical and employment information, together with over-looked previously published information, on a patient (H.C.) is reviewed. H.C., who died at the age of 76 in 1939, was found, by chance during anatomical dissection, to lack a cerebellum. This synthesis challenges an unusual and interesting account of cerebellar agenesis published in Brain in 1994 by Glickstein (see also Glickstein, 20...

متن کاملMitch a rapidly evolving component of the Ndc80 kinetochore complex required for correct chromosome segregation in Drosophila.
We identified an essential kinetochore protein, Mitch, from a genetic screen in D. melanogaster. Mitch localizes to the kinetochore, and its targeting is independent of microtubules (MTs) and several other known kinetochore components. Animals carrying mutations in mitch die as late third-instar larvae; mitotic neuroblasts in larval brains exhibit high levels of aneuploidy. Analysis of fixed D....
